CCTV:April 27/08:FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Fort Lauderdale police have released video of a man suspected of fatally shooting a woman and wounding another during an apparent domestic dispute Sunday. Kevin Cartwright, 39, is wanted in connection with the shootings of Shanesa Conway and Shameca Davis. The shootings occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. at 716 NW 14th Terrace. According to police, Conway and Davis were in the red car seen on the video. Police said the video shows Cartwright arguing with the women when he leaned into the window of the car and pulled a gun, shooting Conway in the neck. She was later pronounced dead at Broward General Medical Center. The video then shows Davis, Cartwright's ex-girlfriend, begin to run away, but she is shot in the leg. Davis was hospitalized but is expected to survive. Detectives said they believe Cartwright's gun might have jammed, saving Davis' life. The video shows Cartwright run off camera, return and pistol-whip her. He is seen driving away in a gold Chevrolet with 24-inch rims. At one point in the video, a woman is seen removing a baby from the back seat of the car. Police said the baby is Cartwright's child. Police said Cartwright has a lengthy arrest record, including charges of aggravated assault and battery.

Police dash cam:April 27/08:FERNDALE, Mich. — A Ferndale man was arrested after driving away from police drunk and crashing into a light pole, police said. Police said Ferndale officers stopped Jonathan Parton, 23, early Sunday morning on suspicion of drunken driving. Officers said Parton punched and kicked them, then drove off at a high rate of speed. Officers chased him through Ferndale and Detroit. Police dashcam video caught PartonÂs Chevy Blazer crash into another car in Detroit, then crash into a utility pole. Police nabbed Parton shortly after he took off on foot. He was arrested on charges of drunken driving, resisting police and fleeing and eluding for a lengthy pursuit.
