Police dash cam:April 27/08:FERNDALE, Mich. — A Ferndale man was arrested after driving away from police drunk and crashing into a light pole, police said. Police said Ferndale officers stopped Jonathan Parton, 23, early Sunday morning on suspicion of drunken driving. Officers said Parton punched and kicked them, then drove off at a high rate of speed. Officers chased him through Ferndale and Detroit. Police dashcam video caught PartonÂs Chevy Blazer crash into another car in Detroit, then crash into a utility pole. Police nabbed Parton shortly after he took off on foot. He was arrested on charges of drunken driving, resisting police and fleeing and eluding for a lengthy pursuit.
